Autumn Plans: Spend The Holiday Season In A Villa In Bodrum

We’ve gotten used to working remotely over the past year, so why not spend our days at the Aegean Sea rather than in a rainy autumn city? We’ve got big plans for the holiday season: while it’s still warm in Bodrum, the trendiest resort of last summer, we suggest that you book a villa at the METT Hotel & Beach Resort Bodrum immediately.

The hotel has an excellent location: 40km from the airport and less than 3km from the city centre (be sure to go for a long walk and visit St Peter’s Castle). It’s also a short taxi ride from here to Bodrum’s main place to be, the Yalıkavak Marina (we’ve covered its gastronomic attractions here).

Of course you do not have to leave the METT area at all. There are accommodation options to suit all tastes: families and groups of friends can choose from stylish four- or five-bedroom villas with pools, while couples, and those who want to spend time alone with themselves and the sea, can choose from spacious rooms and lofts with panoramic views over the Mediterranean landscape.

Not least the gastronomy and entertainment are two of the key elements of Sunset Hospitality Group, the company to which we owe the METT resorts worldwide. Experience the tradition of Southern hospitality at the MOI Spa with Turkish hammam and at one of the four atmospheric restaurants.

Folie

Relaxing on the beach can also be incredibly stylish and elegant. The laid-back atmosphere of the waterfront Folie Restaurant & Sea is a prime example of this. Between swims, one can sample Provencal cuisine from one of the tables, comfortably seated barefoot and in beachwear. The perfect complement to the noise of the surf will be DJ sets and musicians and dancers performing throughout the day.

Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served on the restaurant’s spacious terrace. Otto boasts a successful fusion of traditional Turkish cuisine with the latest culinary trends. The chef has perfected recipes from the Ottoman Empire while keeping in mind the modern canons of a balanced Mediterranean diet.

Mood

To experience one of the most beautiful sunsets of your life, simply climb up onto the panoramic terrace of Mood Lounge Bar. From there, one has a breathtaking view of the sea and the islands in the distance. This lounge is perfect for pre-dinner, with light pan-Asian snacks.

Isola Manzara Gardens

An example of a traditional Italian restaurant with Roman pizza, pasta and seafood. However, there are also some unusual items on the menu that will pleasantly surprise even seasoned gourmets. On 25 September, the restaurant will open its terrace and lounge, perfect for leisurely garden dinners.
