1. “ROCKETMAN”, 2019

A musical about the life of one of the most successful musicians in the UK – Elton John.

The film introduces us to a shy guy named Reginald Dwight (Elton John’s real name). Reginald is approximately studying at the Royal Academy of Music in England, but soon, without expecting it, he will conquer the musical Olympus. Ahead of the young musician is a debut in the United States, first love and worldwide fame. Interestingly, all the songs in the film were performed by the actor Taron Egerton, who played the main role, and they sound no worse than the original.

The film was produced by Elton John himself. Rocketman was presented at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival and was positively received by critics.

2. “BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY”, 2018

A biopic about the legendary British rock band Queen.

The plot of the film covers events from the moment the band was created to their world-shaking performance at the Live Aid charity festival in 1985. Particular attention in the film is paid to the personal life and difficult fate of the band’s frontman Freddie Mercury, brilliantly played by Rami Malek.

In the center of the plot is the love story of the legendary musician and his second wife, June Carter. The bright and kind singer June, who will completely change his life and inspire new musical hits. The role of the country musician was played by Joaquin Phoenix, who was chosen by Johnny Cash himself.

Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon, who played June Carter, performed all the vocal parts in the film on her own.

The third season of the National Geographic anthology project Genius is dedicated to America’s greatest gospel and soul singer, Aretha Franklin. The series will tell the story of the formation of the legendary queen of soul and her influence on world culture. The role of Aretha was played by the British singer and actress, winner of the Grammy, Emmy and Tony awards, Cynthia Erivo.

The series has won several Emmy awards.

The film is based on a chronicle of the life of the great singer and actress Edith Piaf. Born into a poor family on the outskirts of Paris, the young singer could not imagine that her talent would be legendary. But a happy accident changed the life of Edith Giovanna Gassion (real name Piaf) – she was waiting for worldwide recognition, cinema and the best concert halls.

Actress Marion Cotillard, who played Edith Piaf in the film, received an Oscar for this role.
