Eco alternative to the usual (liquid) hair shampoo
This summer, several well-known cosmetic brands presented new collections of solid shampoos: L’Occitane, Davines, Lush. Coincidence? We don’t think so. Why are “hard” hair cleanser alternatives so popular today? Mainly because the products are eco-friendly and ergonomic: we counted five reasons why you should definitely add solid shampoo to your beauty arsenal, and at the same time have collected some great options for convenience, with which you can safely start a pleasant acquaintance.
1. OILS + VEGETABLE EXTRACTS AND ANYTHING EXTRA
Usually, solid shampoos are composed of essential oils and plant extracts, do not contain preservatives, and therefore are considered an environmentally friendly alternative to liquid shampoos.
2. TRAVEL-SIZE FORMAT
Outwardly, solid shampoo resembles toilet hand soap, fits in the palm of your hand and, as a result, saves space in your suitcase and on the shelf in the bathroom.
3.LONG ENOUGH
Davines experts have calculated that one soap “washer” is enough for you to wash your hair 30-40 times.
100 g solid shampoo = 300 ml liquid shampoo
4. USE OF WATER
To lather a piece of solid shampoo and lather your hair well, you need a small amount of water, compared to a liquid analogue, so in this case ecoprofit is on your face: pouring water in wasted is like announcing to the whole world about your frivolous attitude towards ecology and nature … The problem of lack of fresh water in the world will not solve itself, so we start with ourselves.
5. LET’S GO WITHOUT PLASTIC
Solid shampoo packaging eliminates the presence of a plastic bottle and cap; often, a beautiful soap dish is included with the hair soap, which can be reused. The case retains the physical properties and shape of the product, and does not harm the environment.
