How to Diet in the Office

What to do to avoid changing your diet at work

Whether you are determined to divert yourself or simply promise yourself to eat right, there are ways to keep your willpower from betraying during work hours without sacrificing the euphoria of losing one pound.

Go for it. We believe in you. You are capable of becoming that boringly slender girl who refuses to share the pleasure of buns with colleagues, because “she has already had a bite of celery.” Staying true to your diet in the office isn’t as difficult as it sounds. To start…

FIND YOUR OFFICE MOMMY

Surely you already have an “office sister” who is always happy to gossip, take a walk for coffee, or quietly say that your blouse is showing through. “Mommy” is similar to her, but much more severe. This is a person who is always ready to speak honestly, looking straight in the eyes when your hands reach out to grab a crumb of someone’s birthday cake. In such cases, a strict shout is required: “Do not eat, otherwise you will regret it!” Yes, she is cruel, although she loves you somewhere in the depths of a cold heart.

TRY NOT TO NOTICE PUBLIC SNACKS

Avoid the vicious epicenter where employees lay out devious cookies and other high-calorie snacks for free biting. And do not forget that people who love a diet are ready for literally anything. You can, for example, lie to your colleagues that the administration forbids arranging still lifes with snacks outside the kitchen. Do not suffer from remorse, this is a lie for the good.

FIND DIET COMPANIONS

And open a general chat with them – in a messenger like WhatsApp or Slack, where you will motivate each other with diet memes and life hacks, how to strengthen willpower. Or to criticize from the bottom of the heart for broken promises – in a friendly way, not offensive, but to catch on. No pain, no gain.

LET YOURSELF BEYOND WATER AND COFFEE

Do not indulge in bigotry – you are on a diet, not on a hunger strike. Don’t forget about proteins, vegetables and modest doses of carbohydrates if you don’t want to fall victim to the honey pie from a nearby cafe one day. After all, if you dream about this cake day and night – buy and eat a piece, slowly enjoying the process. It is important. Tormenting yourself is bad, and feeling guilty about what you eat doesn’t help your metabolism.

DON’T FORGET TO MOVE

Find an acceptable way to be on the move without leaving your workspace. Turn around in your chair. Roll in front of the mirror. Tap your toes. Play invisible drums. Visit the water cooler or the toilet more often. What’s the point? The more energy you expend, the more calories you can consume.

SUBSCRIBE TO FOOD BLOGS

Especially on Instagram. No favors, act ruthlessly. If you don’t like the light without admiration for other people’s pictures, subscribe in exchange for diet blogs and fitness monster accounts. This, of course, will not raise self-esteem, but in the long term it can motivate great achievements.
